That’s the exact question husband-wife duo Carlo Olcese and Natasha Van Duser asked themselves in 2024 when cooking up the concept behind their first cocktail bar.
“We wanted to take the idea of super high-end cocktailing and turn it on its head,” said Carlo Olcese, the operations director. “This is the place that Patrick Bateman would hate to love, where the drinks are sophisticated but the staff is approachable.”
A cozy nook in the heart of East Village adorned with baroque-style paintings and antique Tiffany chandeliers, the lounge takes on an elevated but familiar feeling. The intimate, 10-seat bar and 20-seat dining area are perfect for dates, small gatherings, and special occasions, with a cozy atmosphere and low-fi music that’s both refined and relaxed.
